Lagos State Governor, Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu, on Thursday received the management team of the Revenue Mobilisation Allocation and Fiscal Commission (RMAFC) at Lagos House, Ikeja, for a courtesy visit focused on fiscal cooperation and sustainable development.
EKO HOT NEWS reports that the meeting centred on strengthening collaboration between Lagos State and the federal fiscal agency on revenue management, allocation, and economic sustainability.
Speaking after the engagement, Governor Sanwo-Olu described the discussion as productive, noting that both parties exchanged ideas on improving fiscal efficiency for the benefit of Lagos State and Nigeria.
“We had a good conversation on strengthening fiscal cooperation and supporting sustainable development across our state and Nigeria,” the governor stated.
The Revenue Mobilisation Allocation and Fiscal Commission is a constitutional body responsible for monitoring revenue accruals into the Federation Account and advising the federal, state, and local governments on fiscal matters and revenue allocation formulas.
The visit further highlights Lagos State’s strategic position in national economic discussions, especially as Nigeria’s commercial hub and one of the country’s highest contributors to internally generated revenue.
Photos from the meeting showed Governor Sanwo-Olu and members of the RMAFC delegation during deliberations at Lagos House, Ikeja, reflecting ongoing collaboration between Lagos State and federal institutions on economic and fiscal policies.
