Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has confirmed the successful conduct of the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential primary collation exercise in the state, describing the process as peaceful, orderly, and transparent.
Eko Hot News reports that He disclosed that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu emerged with a landslide victory, securing 814,988 votes in the Lagos State collation results, while his opponent, Mr. Stanley Osifo, polled 1,186 votes.
Governor Sanwo-Olu, who served as the APC Presidential Primary Collation Officer in Lagos, announced that a total of 900,553 party members were registered for the exercise.
He further stated that 816,174 voters were accredited for participation, with the same number of votes recorded as validly cast during the exercise.
The Governor commended the peaceful conduct of party members throughout the exercise, noting that the process reflected the discipline and maturity of APC stakeholders in Lagos State.
He emphasized that the large turnout demonstrated strong internal democracy and active participation within the ruling party.
Sanwo-Olu appreciated party faithful for their commitment to the electoral process, describing their conduct as orderly and exemplary.
