Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu has approved the appointment of Mr. Kayode Oyekanmi as the new General Manager of Lagos Television (LTV).
Eko Hot News reports that the appointment followed the disengagement of the former General Manager of the station, Mrs. Sola Kosoko.
The appointment letter was presented to Oyekanmi by the Lagos State Head of Service, Bode Agoro, during a brief ceremony held at the Secretariat in Alausa, Ikeja.
Agoro stated that the appointment was based on Oyekanmi’s dedication, diligence, and commitment to public service over the years.

The Head of Service expressed confidence in the new appointee’s ability to reposition Lagos Television and strengthen its operations.
Before his appointment, Oyekanmi served as Director of the Strategy Centre at the Lagos State Ministry of Information and Strategy.
He had occupied the position since 2022 and contributed to several communication and public information initiatives within the ministry.
Oyekanmi is described as a seasoned communications professional with more than three decades of experience across the private and public sectors.
His areas of expertise include advertising, public relations, and international export services.
He began his public service career with the Lagos State Ministry of Information and Strategy on March 1, 2000.
The new LTV General Manager is an indigene of Isale Eko in Lagos Island.

Over the years, he has received several recognitions for his dedication and contributions to journalism and public communication.
Oyekanmi holds a Master’s degree in Public Administration from the University of Lagos.
He also earned a Bachelor’s degree in English Language and Education from Lagos State University.
In addition, he is a member of the Nigeria Union of Journalists and the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations.
Officials described him as an experienced media and communications professional with strong leadership qualities.
Beyond his professional career, Oyekanmi is known for his interest in reading and lawn tennis.
He also currently serves as the Charter President of the Lagos State Ministry of Information Toastmasters Club.
The Lagos State Government reaffirmed its commitment to strengthening public communication and broadcasting institutions through experienced leadership and innovation.
Observers within the media industry say the appointment is expected to support continued growth and transformation at Lagos Television.
