The Lagos State Consumer Protection Agency (LASCOPA), in collaboration with the National Youth Service Corps Community Development Service (CDS) Group, is set to commission and officially hand over an environmental sustainability project executed by 2025 Batch A2 and B1 corps members to the Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer of the Lagos State Waste Management Authority (LAWMA).
Eko Hot News reports that the event is scheduled to take place tomorrow at the NYSC Orientation Camp.
During the ceremony, the General Manager of LASCOPA, Afolabi Solebo, will receive the project on behalf of the Lagos State Government, further strengthening the partnership between government agencies and youth groups in promoting environmental sustainability and consumer protection across the state.

The project consists of four durable waste bottle bins, each designed to hold between 400 and 700 plastic bottles. The initiative aims to encourage proper waste disposal, plastic recycling, and environmental consciousness among residents and camp participants.
Speaking on the development, CDS Group President, Victoria Okoro, said the project has significantly boosted awareness on responsible waste management while also encouraging greater community participation in environmental sanitation efforts.

The initiative was jointly funded by LASCOPA and CDS members, highlighting their collective commitment to environmental sustainability, cleaner communities, and consumer welfare in Lagos State.
