The Lagos State Residents Registration Agency has reaffirmed its commitment to inclusive service delivery through strengthened collaboration with the Association of Sign Language Interpreters in Nigeria, Lagos State Chapter.

Eko Hot News reports that the General Manager of LASRRA, Bilikiss Adebiyi-Abiola, made this known while receiving a delegation from ASLIN during a courtesy visit to the agency.

The General Manager, represented by the Director of Information Management and Data Protection, Christiana Farotimi, expressed appreciation for the visit. She commended the association for its role in supporting communication access for the Deaf community.

She noted that LASRRA remains focused on ensuring that all residents of Lagos State, including persons with hearing impairments, can access registration and verification services without barriers.

According to her, collaboration with ASLIN will enhance the agency’s ability to deliver inclusive and efficient services. She emphasised that inclusivity remains a core objective of LASRRA’s operations.

Mrs. Adebiyi-Abiola reiterated the agency’s readiness to partner with ASLIN in deploying professional sign language interpreters. She said this would support Deaf residents during biodata capture and other registration processes.

The initiative is expected to improve communication between LASRRA officials and residents with hearing impairments. It also aims to create a more accessible environment across registration centres.
