Samuel Mawuyon Ajose has dismissed reports claiming he endorsed Kadri Obafemi Hamzat as the governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) ahead of the 2027 elections.
Eko Hot News reports that Ajose described the circulating press statement as false and unauthorized, stating that it does not reflect his views or the position of his campaign. He clarified that he did not issue or approve any such communication.
The politician said the statement was fictitious and lacked official backing. He added that neither he nor anyone authorised to speak on his behalf had made any endorsement regarding the Lagos governorship race.
Ajose also noted that he was not involved in any process linked to decisions attributed to the party’s leadership structure. He stressed that claims connecting him to such outcomes are misleading.

Ajose called on media organisations to verify information before publication. He advised against sharing unverified materials that could create confusion among the public.

The statement further emphasised the importance of responsible communication in political reporting. Ajose maintained that accurate information remains essential for public trust.
He reiterated his commitment to engaging with supporters through official and verified channels. He assured that any updates regarding his political position would be clearly communicated.
Observers note that the clarification comes amid ongoing political developments ahead of the 2027 Lagos governorship race. Stakeholders continue to monitor alignments within the APC.
Ajose concluded by encouraging calm among his supporters. He reaffirmed his focus on constructive engagement and participation in the political process.
