The Tutor-General and Permanent Secretary, Education District II, Mr Omotayo Layemo Sanni, has paid a working visit to Ogudu Junior and Senior High School and Kosofe Junior High School as part of his ongoing monitoring and supervisory activities.
Eko Hot News reports that the visit coincided with the International Day of Education and the Career Day celebration for public secondary schools in Lagos State, adding significance to the engagement.
Interacting with students at Ogudu Senior High School, Mr Sanni described education as the primary language of development and growth, stressing the Lagos State Government’s strong commitment to education and technology.
He noted that Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu remains focused on advancing a knowledge-driven and technologically competitive education system across the state.

The TG/PS encouraged students to remain committed to their studies, explaining that dedication to education creates opportunities, freedom, and global relevance.
He urged them to embrace learning with passion, discipline, and focus in order to compete favourably with peers across the world.

Speaking on the Career Day initiative, Mr Sanni said the programme was designed to guide students toward informed career choices and purposeful life decisions.
He highlighted the need for diverse professionals, including doctors, lawyers, engineers, teachers, entrepreneurs, and technologists, while urging students to follow their teachers’ guidance.

According to him, discipline and attention to studies remain critical to achieving long-term success.
Mr Sanni stated that the school visits were aimed at reaffirming the district’s commitment to quality education, effective supervision, and holistic student development.

He added that the initiative aligns with the Lagos State Government’s vision of building a progressive, knowledge-based, and technologically advanced society.
