Lagos Auditors Hold Leadership Workshop

 The Office of the State Auditor-General, Lagos State, has organised a three-day leadership workshop for its management staff to strengthen leadership capacity and enhance professional excellence in public sector administration.

Eko Hot News reports that the workshop, themed “Leading with Agility and Resilience, Including Effective Presentation,” was held from Tuesday, July 7 to Thursday, July 9, 2026, at the Lagos Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI), Olowopopo Way, Ikeja.

The training programme was designed to equip participants with practical leadership skills, improve resilience and develop effective presentation techniques needed to meet the changing demands of public service.

Delivering the keynote address on behalf of the Coordinating Director, Mrs. Koko Omobola, the Director of Administration and Human Resources, Mrs. Akinleye Adebola, stressed the importance of agile leadership in today’s evolving work environment.

She said effective leadership requires resilience, adaptability and a commitment to continuous learning. According to her, these qualities are essential for improving organisational performance and delivering quality public service.

Mrs. Akinleye encouraged participants to apply the knowledge and practical insights gained during the workshop to strengthen decision-making, improve teamwork and enhance service delivery within the Office of the State Auditor-General.

In her welcome address, she warmly received participants and reaffirmed the management’s commitment to continuous capacity development. She noted that investing in staff development remains a key strategy for sustaining excellence in public sector auditing.
