The second edition of the Bosede Idehen 5-A-Side Football Tournament produced another entertaining round of fixtures, with Bosede Idehen securing a dramatic 6–5 victory over Josab School in an 11-goal thriller.
Eko Hot News reports that the encounter between both sides lived up to expectations, as the teams produced an attacking display filled with goals, intensity and suspense. Neither side was willing to back down, making the match unpredictable until the final whistle.
Bosede Idehen eventually emerged victorious after scoring six goals to Josab School’s five in a closely fought encounter that stood out as one of the most exciting matches of the round.
Both teams showed strong attacking intent throughout the game, with their players taking advantage of opportunities in front of goal. The constant exchange of goals kept the contest finely balanced and provided an entertaining spectacle for supporters.
However, the fixture was also marked by a disciplinary incident involving Monsuru of Josab School.
Monsuru was found to have engaged in inappropriate conduct towards the referee, his coach, and an opposing player during the match.
Following a review of the incident, the tournament’s Disciplinary Committee imposed a one-match suspension on Monsuru.
The committee stressed that such behaviour is unacceptable and contrary to the values of discipline, respect and sportsmanship expected from all participants in the competition.
It further reminded players that match officials, coaches and opponents must be treated with respect at all times, regardless of the outcome or circumstances of a match.
In another fixture, God’s Merit secured a narrow 2–1 victory over Dee Unique in a closely contested encounter.
The two teams produced a tactical battle, with both sides demonstrating determination and commitment while creating opportunities to break the deadlock.
Neither team was able to establish a significant advantage for much of the game, as the players battled for possession and control.
God’s Merit eventually secured the win with a 2–1 scoreline after a determined performance, maintaining their push in the highly competitive tournament.
Meanwhile, the scheduled fixture between Golden Star and Mighty FC was postponed.
The tournament organisers are expected to communicate a new date and time for the rescheduled fixture to the teams involved.
The latest round produced 14 goals across the two completed matches, further underlining the attacking quality and competitive spirit of the second edition of the Bosede Idehen 5-A-Side Football Tournament.
