The Lagos State Command and Control Centre and the Federal Road Safety Corps have deepened strategic collaboration to enhance road safety and emergency coordination in Lagos.

Eko Hot News reports that the General Manager of LSCCC, Mr. Femi Kennedy Giwa, led a delegation on a courtesy visit to the FRSC Sector Commander on February 17, 2026, to reinforce inter-agency cooperation.

Giwa commended FRSC for its professionalism and dedication to road safety enforcement, traffic regulation and crash response management across the state.

He reaffirmed LSCCC’s commitment as Lagos’ central emergency coordination hub, focused on real-time incident monitoring, improved communication interoperability and rapid response activation.

The General Manager highlighted ongoing technological upgrades, including the Local Emergency Response and Management System (LERMS I & II), designed to enhance decentralised reporting and coordinated emergency deployment.

Responding, FRSC Sector Commander, Kehinde Ganiyu Hamzat, stressed the importance of synergy among safety and emergency agencies to safeguard lives and property.

Both agencies agreed to strengthen intelligence sharing, operational coordination and joint response strategies, particularly in traffic incident management and public safety awareness.

They also resolved to integrate designated FRSC personnel within the LSCCC to improve traffic monitoring and ensure seamless multi-agency emergency response.

The engagement reflects renewed commitment to a technology-driven safety architecture aimed at guaranteeing timely intervention and improved service delivery for Lagos residents.
