Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has received Dr. Princess Aderemi Adebowale, National Programme Manager of the Renewed Hope National Home-Grown School Feeding Programme, at the Lagos State Government Secretariat in Lagos House Ikeja.
Eko Hot News reports that the meeting focused on strengthening collaboration between Lagos State and the Federal Government on child welfare, nutrition, and school feeding initiatives aimed at improving the well-being of public school students.
Governor Sanwo-Olu reiterated the state’s commitment to ensuring that students remain well-nourished, healthy, and better positioned to learn effectively in school.
He noted that child nutrition remains a key priority of the Lagos State Government as part of broader efforts to improve education outcomes and human capital development.
According to him, aligning state policies with national programmes helps to strengthen impact and expand coverage for vulnerable children across Lagos.
He emphasized that sustainable school feeding programmes play a critical role in supporting families and improving school attendance and performance.
The Governor also highlighted the importance of partnerships with federal initiatives such as the Renewed Hope National Home-Grown School Feeding Programme.
The programme, coordinated under the Federal Government’s social investment framework, is designed to provide daily nutritious meals to public primary school pupils across Nigeria.
