The Lagos State Government has announced plans for the third edition of the Invest Lagos Summit, tagged Invest Lagos 3.0, scheduled to hold on June 8 and 9 at Eko Hotels and Suites, Victoria Island.
Eko Hot News reports that the summit is expected to attract more than 1,000 delegates from over 50 countries as Lagos strengthens efforts to position itself as Africa’s leading destination for business and investment opportunities.
The event, themed “Lagos: Business Gateway to Africa,” is being organised in collaboration with the Commonwealth Enterprise and Investment Council (CWEIC) alongside private sector partners.
Officials said the summit is designed to deepen investment inflow into Lagos while promoting strategic partnerships across critical sectors of the economy.
Speaking during a press conference, Commissioner for Commerce, Cooperatives, Trade and Investment, Mrs. Folashade Bada Ambrose-Medebem, described the summit as a major platform for investment mobilisation and economic engagement.

According to her, Invest Lagos 3.0 has evolved beyond a regular conference into a strategic initiative focused on boosting investor confidence, promoting sectoral partnerships, and supporting enterprise growth.
Ambrose-Medebem explained that the summit will feature keynote speeches, executive roundtables, exhibitions, investment matchmaking sessions, and sector-focused discussions involving industry stakeholders and development partners.
She noted that discussions would cover sectors including infrastructure, manufacturing, agriculture, tourism, technology, blue economy, logistics, energy transition, financial services, and small business development.
The Commissioner also revealed that the summit would highlight investment opportunities in industrial parks, special economic zones, innovation districts, export-focused manufacturing, and digital commerce ecosystems.
According to her, Business-to-Business (B2B) and Business-to-Government (B2G) meetings will create direct engagement opportunities between local businesses, global investors, and international development institutions.
Ambrose-Medebem stressed that Lagos remains strategically positioned as Africa’s investment gateway due to its population strength, expanding infrastructure, industrial growth, and vibrant innovation ecosystem.

She further disclosed that one of the major highlights of the summit would be the Governors’ Investment Showcase. The initiative is aimed at promoting direct interaction between government leaders, investors, sovereign institutions, and private sector stakeholders.
The summit will also spotlight youth entrepreneurship and innovation, creating opportunities for young entrepreneurs and startups to connect with investors and business leaders.
Also speaking, Sam Egube, Deputy Chief of Staff to Governor Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu and Co-Chairman of the Organising Committee, stated that Lagos has continued to invest in infrastructure and economic growth despite global economic challenges.
Egube described Invest Lagos 3.0 as an important platform for showcasing investment opportunities across Lagos and Nigeria to both local and international audiences.
He added that governors, business executives, and global investors are expected to use the summit to strengthen partnerships and promote opportunities across multiple sectors.
The Deputy Chief of Staff urged stakeholders and media organisations to support efforts aimed at amplifying Lagos’ investment narrative globally.
According to him, the summit reflects Governor Sanwo-Olu’s long-term vision of positioning Lagos as a globally competitive investment destination.
Meanwhile, Co-Chairman of the Technical Committee, Toyosi Akerele, disclosed that the summit would leverage technology and innovation tools to enhance participation and engagement.
She explained that an AI-powered dashboard would allow global participants to monitor proceedings in real time, improving accessibility and interaction throughout the event.

Akerele added that students from tertiary institutions, including Lagos State University, would manage the summit’s dashboard and command centre as part of efforts to strengthen youth participation and human capital development.
She further revealed that over 400 foreign delegates would participate in guided tours of major infrastructure and industrial projects across Lagos after the summit.
The tours are expected to include visits to the Lekki Free Trade Zone, Dangote Refinery, Dangote Fertiliser Plant, Lekki Deep Sea Port, and the RussellSmith 3D Printing and Manufacturing Centre.
Delegates will also tour the Lagos Blue Rail and Red Rail Lines as part of efforts to showcase ongoing transportation and industrial development projects in the state.
The Lagos State Government expressed confidence that Invest Lagos 3.0 would further strengthen investor confidence, attract strategic partnerships, and reinforce Lagos’ reputation as a major commercial hub in Africa.
