Former Lagos governorship aspirant, Abdul-Azeez Olajide Adediran, popularly known as Jandor, has announced his withdrawal from the 2027 Lagos State governorship race under the All Progressives Congress (APC).

Eko Hot News reports that Adediran confirmed his decision following consultations and recent developments within the party, including the endorsement of Kadri Obafemi Hamzat as the consensus candidate for the upcoming election.

The former aspirant explained that although he had purchased his Expression of Interest and Nomination Forms to contest, he chose to step aside in the interest of party unity. He noted that maintaining cohesion within the APC remains a priority at this stage.

Adediran stated that leadership involves making decisions that place collective goals above personal ambition. According to him, his withdrawal reflects discipline, strength, and respect for the party’s internal structure.
