While many educators would have remained in the commercial heart of Lagos, Madam Bosede Idehen made a bold decision that would define her legacy. She relocated the school to Abule Egba, then a largely rural community with limited access to standard private education.
Many considered the move a significant risk. Operating a quality private school in an area that lacked the infrastructure and commercial appeal of central Lagos seemed almost impossible. Yet Madam Bosede Idehen saw opportunity where others saw uncertainty.

Although Late Madam Bosede Idehen is no longer physically present, her vision continues to guide every aspect of the schools she founded.
Following her passing, leadership of the institution was entrusted to her daughter, Mrs. Maureen Idehen Ovabor, an accomplished pharmacist based in the United States and an experienced educator. Since assuming the role of proprietress more than three years ago, she has remained committed to preserving her mother’s ideals while introducing innovations that position Springfield Private School and Bosede Idehen International Academy for continued growth in an evolving educational landscape.
Under her leadership, the schools have continued to strengthen their academic standards, modernise teaching methods and maintain an environment where excellence, discipline and compassion remain at the heart of learning.
