The Lagos State Government has inspected the Imota Light Industrial Park in Ikorodu ahead of the planned commissioning of its 44 factory units.
Eko Hot News reports that the inspection was led by the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Commerce, Cooperatives, Trade and Investment, Mr. Babatunde Onigbanjo.
The delegation included 15 senior officials from the ministry who assessed the facility and reviewed preparations for its commissioning.
The inspection focused on the readiness of the factory units and other facilities within the industrial park.
Officials examined completed structures and ongoing works across the facility.
Areas inspected included utility installations, access roads, drainage systems and shared service facilities.
The government said the project is designed to address the shortage of affordable industrial workspace for manufacturers across Lagos.
The 44 factory units were developed in different sizes to accommodate businesses with varying production requirements.
The facility also includes an administrative building to support the day-to-day management of the industrial park.
Other supporting facilities include a staff canteen, clinic, fire service station and gatehouse.
The infrastructure is intended to provide businesses with an environment that supports efficient production and business operations.
