Lagos Moves to Strengthen Real Estate Regulation Through LASRERA Satellite Offices

The Lagos State Ministry of Housing has intensified efforts to improve real estate regulation and service delivery through an inspection of LASRERA satellite offices across key locations in the state.

Eko Hot News reports that the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Housing, Engr. Abdulhafis Gbolahan Toriola, led the management team of the Lagos State Real Estate Regulatory Authority (LASRERA) on a tour of offices in Igbogbo-Baiyeku, Ikorodu, Surulere, Agege, and Ojodu.

The inspection was carried out to assess infrastructure, operational readiness, and service capacity of the satellite offices established to bring regulatory services closer to residents.

Officials noted that the initiative is part of government efforts to strengthen oversight and improve efficiency in the real estate sector across Lagos State.

During the visit, Engr. Toriola reviewed facilities and interacted with staff on service delivery standards and operational challenges.

He explained that the decentralisation of LASRERA services is aimed at improving accessibility and ensuring better regulation at the grassroots level.

Local government representatives at the visited offices welcomed the delegation and commended the state government’s approach.

They described the establishment of satellite offices as a positive step toward transparency and improved responsiveness in property-related services.

Engr. Toriola reiterated the government’s commitment to sanitising the real estate sector and protecting residents from fraudulent transactions.

He stressed that compliance with regulations remains essential to building trust and stability within the property market.

The Permanent Secretary also disclosed plans to expand LASRERA operations to additional locations including Amuwo-Odofin, Mushin, Ojo, and Lekki.

He said the expansion would further extend regulatory reach and improve service delivery across more communities.

According to him, the Lagos State Government remains committed to ensuring that real estate services are accessible, transparent, and efficient.
