ADC leadership has stepped down after being adopted by the National Coalition.

Eko Hot News reports that the entire leadership of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), across all states, has officially stepped down to facilitate the transition of the party structure to the 2027 national opposition coalition.

Ralph O. Nwosu, the outgoing ADC National Chairman, announced on Wednesday, July 2, 2025, that Senator David Mark has been appointed as the interim National Chairman, while Rauf Argegbesola will serve as the party’s National Secretary.

The development comes after the opposition coalition, including Atiku, Obi, El-Rufai, Amaechi, Rauf Aregbesola and others, gathered at the Yar’Adua Centre for the official unveiling of ADC.

Also present at the meeting were: Former APC National Chairman, John Oyegun, Former Governor of Sokoto State, Aminu Waziri Tambuwal, Former Attorney General of the Federation, Abubakar Malami, Dino Melaye, a former Minister of Youth and Sports; Solomon Dalong; Dele Momodu, Senator Gabriel Suswam, and Senator Ireti Kingibe of the Labour Party (LP), former Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Emeka Ihedioha, former Chief of Air Staff, Air Marshal Sadique Abubakar (retd.), and others.
