The Lagos Waste Management Authority has stepped up surveillance and enforcement operations across key areas in Lagos State to address improper waste disposal practices.

Eko Hot News reports that the agency’s Surveillance and Enforcement Team carried out coordinated operations along Badagry Expressway and extended activities to communities including Ijegun, Idinmu, and Ikotun.

The operation focused on curbing cart pushing and indiscriminate waste disposal, which have been identified as major challenges affecting sanitation across the metropolis.

Officials noted that the enforcement drive is part of ongoing efforts to maintain environmental standards and improve public hygiene in densely populated areas.
