The Lagos State Government rolled out the red carpet on Tuesday for two Zimbabwean cyclists, Thando Tshuma and Vusumuzi Mnkanhla, after they completed a staggering 12,000-kilometre cycling expedition across nine African countries. The event, part of the “Unity Ride: Pan-African Cycling Expedition” organized by Afro Flavour Nigeria Limited, included cultural displays and public celebrations marking the cyclists’ extraordinary achievement.

Thando and Vusumuzi’s journey, which promoted adventure tourism and cross-border connections, took them through challenging terrains and multiple borders, symbolizing the spirit of Pan-African solidarity.

The Lagos State Government described their arrival as a “reminder that beyond borders, Africa is one story rich in culture, people, and shared experiences.”
