The Lagos State Resilience Office has partnered with the Lagos State Emergency Management Agency to boost emergency preparedness and improve service delivery across Lagos State.

The session featured a comprehensive review of LASEMA’s Business Continuity Plan (BCP). The LASRO team was led by Folayinka Dania, represented by Mr. Olayinka Oyekan, Lead Facilitator for Business Continuity Planning.

Discussions centred on maintaining uninterrupted emergency response services during and after crises. Participants highlighted the need to minimise downtime and ensure swift recovery of essential operations.

The engagement also clarified roles and responsibilities in emergency situations. This approach is expected to strengthen coordination and improve response outcomes.

Officials emphasised the importance of institutional resilience through improved operational systems. LASEMA’s 24/7 emergency response service, accessible via dedicated hotlines, was highlighted as a key asset.

The meeting explored the integration of modern technology into emergency management. Enhanced data and information systems were identified as critical tools for improving response efficiency.

Participants reviewed the existing Business Continuity Plan and provided constructive feedback. Updates were made to align the document with LASEMA’s current operational structure.
