The Permanent Secretary, Lagos State Ministry of Health, Dr. Dayo Lajide, has inspected the Folarin Coker Staff Clinic at the State Secretariat, Alausa.

Eko Hot News reports that the visit forms part of her ongoing familiarisation tour since assuming office.

Dr. Lajide said the inspection was aimed at assessing service delivery and staff welfare at the facility.

She reaffirmed the state government’s commitment to safeguarding the health and productivity of civil servants.

According to her, access to the clinic was made possible through the gesture of Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu.

She noted that services at the clinic are free for civil servants.

The Permanent Secretary encouraged staff to enrol in ILERA EKO, the state’s health insurance scheme.

Dr. Lajide listed services available at the clinic, including dental and eye care.

She also highlighted general outpatient services, physiotherapy, laboratory diagnostics and pharmacy support.

The facility provides lying wards and other comprehensive healthcare services.

She stressed that staff productivity improves when workers enjoy quality healthcare.

Dr. Lajide disclosed that the clinic operates a fully paperless Electronic Medical Records system.

She said the EMR platform enhances efficiency, confidentiality and continuity of care.

Minor ailments are treated at the clinic, while complex cases are referred to general hospitals.

Director of Staff Health Services, Dr. Abdulrasheed Kolade, said the clinic serves as a one-stop healthcare centre for public servants.

He noted that services include emergency care, oral health and ophthalmology in collaboration with blindness prevention initiatives.

Kolade added that the clinic offers digital X-ray, ambulance services and preventive screenings.

He said lifestyle and wellness services are also provided through the Lagos State Wellness Centre (LASWELL).

Health workers expressed appreciation for the visit and pledged continued dedication.
