LASG Upgrades 13 VIS Offices Statewide

LASIAMA, LASIAMA,

The Lagos State Infrastructure Asset Management Agency (LASIAMA) is overseeing the renovation and reconstruction of 13 Vehicle Inspection Service offices across Lagos.

Eko Hot News reports that the upgrade project covers facilities undergoing structural improvements under the supervision of LASIAMA.

Leading an inspection in Igbogbo, Ikorodu and Owode, Kosofe, Head of Special Projects Unit, Builder Kazeem Ogunlana, reaffirmed the agency’s commitment to quality delivery.

He said the initiative aims to improve staff productivity and enhance service delivery to residents.

At Igbogbo, the old portacabin office is being replaced with a purpose-built structure.

Ogunlana disclosed that a borehole facility has been installed to permanently address water challenges in the area.

He noted that the improved conditions have boosted morale among Vehicle Inspection Service officers.

Statewide, the renewal programme includes offices at Akilo, Oko-Oba, Agege, Liasu, Iponri, Cele, Ibeju-Lekki, Olowu, Victoria Island, Mile 2, PWD, Igbogbo, Owode and the VIS headquarters at Ojodu.

The projects are structured as four-month contracts and are expected to be completed between April and May.

New block constructions are ongoing at Igbogbo, Victoria Island and PWD.

Portacabins are being installed at Liasu, Akilo, Cele and Mile 2.

Comprehensive renovations are underway at Iponri, Owode, Ibeju, Ojodu, Oko-Oba and Olowu.

During the inspection, Ogunlana engaged contractors and zonal heads to ensure compliance with timelines and standards.

Project Director of Rino Favale Limited, Mr. Ogundiji Samson, described the transformation as significant.

He said about 90 per cent of workers on site were locally sourced to boost grassroots employment.

Samson commended LASIAMA for consistent supervision and regular inspections.

Ogunlana stated that the upgrades reflect the development-driven agenda of Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu.

He emphasised that improved infrastructure strengthens public confidence in government services.

LASIAMA reiterated its commitment to providing modern and conducive work environments for personnel.

Officials believe the upgrades will enhance efficiency and service delivery statewide.
