The Lagos State Health Management Agency (LASHMA) has called on ILERA EKO Focal Persons in Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs) to strengthen health insurance coverage across Lagos State.

Eko Hot News reports that the Permanent Secretary of LASHMA, Dr. Emmanuella Zamba, made the call during a three-day engagement meeting held at the Agency’s office in Alausa, Ikeja.

Dr. Zamba stated that with social health insurance now mandatory, enforcement of the Executive Order within MDAs has commenced.

She noted that Focal Persons play a critical role in driving awareness, resolving enrollee concerns and ensuring smooth implementation of the ILERA EKO scheme.

According to her, they serve as a vital link between LASHMA and public sector enrollees.

She stressed that effective coordination and accurate information dissemination are essential to the success of the Lagos State Health Scheme.

Declaring the programme open, Dr. Zamba described the sensitisation exercise as key to sustaining accessible and affordable healthcare delivery.
