The Majority Leader of Lagos Mainland Local Government and Councillor representing Ward H, Hon. Oluwaseyi Adelakun, has donated educational materials to public primary schools within her constituency.

Eko Hot News reports that the donation, which included stationery and other academic supplies, is aimed at supporting pupils and improving access to essential learning resources across Lagos Mainland.

The initiative aligns with the Education and Technology pillar of the administration of Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu, focused on enhancing the quality of education in Lagos State.

Speaking during the presentation, Hon. Adelakun said the programme was designed to complement the State Government’s efforts in strengthening the education sector.

She noted that the support would reduce the financial burden on parents and enable pupils to concentrate on their studies without unnecessary distractions.

According to her, the School Initiative Programme, one of her flagship projects, reflects her commitment to investing in education and empowering young learners.

Adelakun, a youth leader, expressed passion for rewarding academic excellence and pledged continued support for students’ career development.

She also reaffirmed her dedication to community service through interventions targeted at vulnerable groups, including donations of food items and relief materials.

The Majority Leader commended teachers for their dedication to nurturing students and sustaining Lagos State’s strong performance in internal and external examinations.

She further acknowledged Governor Sanwo-Olu’s investments in education and youth development across the state.

Beneficiary schools include African Church Primary School (Lagos Street), Salvation Army Primary School (Freeman), The Apostolic Primary School, St. Jude’s Primary School, Ago-Egba Primary School, Mount Carmel Primary School, Catholic Girls Primary School, and Ebute Metta Primary School.
