Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu has received the leadership of the Association of Lagos State Retired Heads of Service and Permanent Secretaries at Lagos House.

Eko Hot News reports that the delegation was led by Otunba Nurudeen Ojora Adejiyan and Mrs Dr. Abeke Taire during a courtesy visit to discuss matters concerning retired public servants in the state.

Governor Sanwo-Olu described the visit as significant, noting that public service in Lagos does not end upon retirement.

He said the state values the immense contributions of former Heads of Service and Permanent Secretaries who dedicated their productive years to building strong institutions.

The Governor emphasised that retirees deserve respect, dignity and sustained government support after leaving office.

He expressed pride that Lagos State continues to meet its obligations to retirees through consistent and timely pension payments.

According to him, no retiree who served faithfully should be left uncertain about pension entitlements.

He added that while there is room for improvement, the state remains committed to policies that prioritise the welfare of retired civil servants.
