The second batch of 2025 pilgrims from Lagos State has departed the Murtala Muhammed International Airport for a pilgrimage to Jordan and Israel.
Eko Hot News reports that the pilgrims were seen off by top government officials who urged them to represent the state with dignity and respect for the laws of their host countries.

Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Home Affairs, Mr Adewunmi Ogunsanya, advised the pilgrims to act as worthy ambassadors of Lagos State throughout their spiritual journey.
Special Adviser on Christian Religious Matters, Very Revd Bukola Adeleke, encouraged them to show appreciation to the state government by maintaining decorum and discipline.

Board Secretary of the Lagos State Christian Pilgrims Welfare Board, Dr Okudero Omoniyi, noted that the first batch of pilgrims had set a commendable standard.
He expressed confidence that the second batch would uphold and surpass the example set by their predecessors.
During the pilgrimage, participants are expected to visit significant biblical sites, including the Sea of Galilee, the Jordan River, and the birthplace of Jesus in Jerusalem.

The journey is aimed at deepening faith and strengthening spiritual connections with biblical history.
The departure comes a day after the successful arrival of the first batch of 200 pilgrims in the Holy Land.
