The Lagos State College of Health Technology (LASCOHET) Alumni Association has donated pharmaceutical products to the College Clinic as part of efforts to support healthcare delivery and institutional development.

Eko Hot News reports that the donation was made during a courtesy visit by the Executive Members of the Alumni Association to the Management of LASCOHET, led by the Provost, Professor Raheem Olasupo Akewushola.

Speaking during the visit, the Alumni Association President, Comrade Adesola Arole, commended the Provost and management for the significant progress recorded in the College over the past 18 months.

He praised Professor Akewushola’s leadership style, describing him as a result-oriented administrator whose experience has improved the visibility and recognition of LASCOHET.

Arole also applauded the management and staff for their cooperation, noting that it has contributed to seamless governance within the institution.

He further appreciated the Provost for appointing alumni members to key administrative positions, citing the appointment of Mr Wahab Jamiu as Dean of Students Affairs and Activities.

According to him, the gesture reflects confidence in LASCOHET graduates as worthy ambassadors of the College.

Responding, Professor Akewushola expressed gratitude to the Alumni Association for the donation, assuring that the medical items would be judiciously utilised for the benefit of humanity.

He also thanked Governor Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu for his continued support, describing the Governor’s interventions as transformative to the College’s growth.

The Provost highlighted recent achievements, including the construction of an ICT room, the establishment of a Central Clearing System, and the approval of the X-ray Technician Programme.

He urged the Alumni Association to strengthen its structure, update its database and actively engage members, stressing the importance of networking for institutional growth.
