The Lagos State University Teaching Hospital (LASUTH) has held the second graduation ceremony of its School of Echocardiography for the 2025 academic session, marking another milestone in specialist medical training.
Eko Hot News reports that the ceremony took place at the MRC Auditorium, LASUTH, with graduating students, hospital management, faculty members, and health sector stakeholders in attendance.
In his address, the Chief Medical Director, Prof. Adetokunbo O. Fabamwo, congratulated the graduates, describing the School of Echocardiography as a product of deliberate planning aimed at expanding specialist training, strengthening diagnostic capacity, and positioning LASUTH as a leading centre for advanced medical education.

Prof. Fabamwo commended the Director of the School, Dr Ajibare, for his leadership, discipline, and commitment, noting that the programme has flourished despite initial challenges and professional resistance.
Addressing the graduates, the CMD described them as ambassadors of LASUTH, urging them to uphold professionalism, ethical standards, competence, and compassion in their practice, while flying the institution’s flag with pride.
He expressed appreciation to Governor Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu for sustained support for healthcare development in Lagos State, as well as the Honourable Commissioner for Health, Prof. Akin Abayomi, for prioritising capacity building.

Delivering a goodwill message, Dr Folashade Daniel encouraged the graduates to pursue continuous learning, research, and additional certifications to achieve international recognition in echocardiography.
Representing the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Health, Dr Abdulrasheed Kolade, urged the graduates to apply their skills for societal benefit and uphold the integrity of the LASUTH certificate.
The best graduating student, Ms Moshood Rukayat Temidayo, thanked LASUTH Management and pledged that the graduating class would uphold the institution’s reputation.
