Lagos Agency Director Serifat Talabi is dead.
Eko Hot News reports that the Lagos State Residents Registration Agency (LASRRA) Director of Procurement, Mrs. Serifat Olubukola Talabi, is dead.
It was gathered that Talabi was reportedly hit by a speeding vehicle while crossing the Lagos–Ibadan Expressway near the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) Camp, Ibafo area of Ogun State, on her way home.
The Lagos Agency Director had been preparing for a Thanksgiving, Retirement, and 60th Birthday Ceremony scheduled for October 22, 2025 (today) at the NERDC Conference Centre, NERDC Road, Ikeja — adjacent to the Fela Shrine.

Meanwhile, the Lagos State Residents Registration Agency has mourned the tragic death of its Director of Procurement, who died in a road accident just four days before her scheduled retirement and 60th birthday celebration.
In a statement issued on Tuesday, Basirat Lawal, Public Relations Officer of LASRRA, confirmed the incident, describing the development as a devastating loss for the agency.
“We are still in shock after receiving the news. She was in the office on Friday, and everything had been arranged for her retirement ceremony on October 22,” Lawal said. “She was supposed to retire on October 13, when she clocked 60, but since our General Manager, Mrs. Bilikiss Adebiyi-Abiola, was away, it was postponed to October 22. The agency will be present at her burial.”
According to official records, Talabi joined LASRRA in 2018 and rose through the ranks to become Director of Procurement in 2025. Colleagues described her as diligent, humble, and deeply committed to her work, even until her final days in service.
