The Lagos State Resilience Office (LASRO) has organised a sensitisation workshop for top management officers across Ministries, Departments, and Agencies (MDAs) to strengthen leadership capacity and institutional resilience within the Lagos State Public Service.
Eko Hot News reports that the workshop, themed “Managing Change and Uncertainty,” brought together management-level officers to discuss strategies for adapting to evolving workplace realities and improving organisational effectiveness.
The event was hosted under the leadership of Chief Resilience Officer, Dr. Folayinka Dania, who stressed the importance of resilience, adaptability, and innovation in sustaining growth within public institutions.
According to Dr. Dania, the programme was designed to equip officers with practical skills needed to manage transitions, respond to emerging challenges, and guide teams through periods of uncertainty.

She explained that the rapidly changing work environment requires public service leaders to embrace flexibility and develop stronger problem-solving abilities. She added that resilient institutions are better positioned to deliver efficient services and maintain stability.
Dr. Dania also expressed appreciation to Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu for his continuous support for resilience-focused initiatives and sustainable development programmes in Lagos State.
The workshop featured a series of presentations and interactive sessions facilitated by experienced professionals from leadership and organisational development sectors.
One of the key presentations was delivered by Mr. Kehinde Yusuf, a retired director in the Lagos State Public Service. He shared practical insights on leadership, adaptability, and effective management strategies within public institutions.
Participants also took part in an experiential learning session facilitated by Mr. Ibereayo Amoo, widely known as Coach IB of Eloquence Hub. The session focused on communication, teamwork, strategic thinking, and employee engagement.

The interactive nature of the workshop encouraged collaboration among participants and created opportunities for officers to exchange ideas and experiences from their various MDAs.
Additional presentations highlighted the Lagos Resilience Strategy (LRS), which aims to promote a more inclusive, enterprise-driven, and sustainable Lagos through improved institutional planning and resilience-building initiatives.
Officials at the event noted that strengthening resilience within the public service remains important for maintaining effective governance and responding proactively to social and economic changes.
Participants described the workshop as enlightening, practical, and impactful. Many noted that the sessions provided valuable knowledge that can improve leadership effectiveness and workplace adaptability.

The programme concluded with participants reaffirming their commitment to applying the lessons learned within their respective agencies. They also pledged to strengthen collaboration and promote resilience-driven leadership across the Lagos State Public Service.
LASRO stated that the workshop forms part of broader efforts to build stronger institutions and prepare public sector leaders to effectively manage future challenges while supporting sustainable development goals in Lagos State.
