Lagos State Governor, Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu, led members of the State Executive Council on an inspection tour of two major public infrastructure projects in Alausa aimed at improving service delivery for residents.
Eko Hot News reports that the projects inspected include the Multi-Agency Office Complex and the new office building for the Lagos Geographic Information Service (LAGIS). Both facilities are located within the Central Business District in Alausa, close to the Lagos State Secretariat.
The Multi-Agency Office Complex is a multi-storey structure designed to centralise the operations of several government agencies. The project is expected to reduce congestion within the Secretariat while improving coordination among public service institutions.
According to officials, the complex is designed to provide a comfortable and efficient working environment for civil servants. The building includes office spaces, relaxation areas, a multi-level parking facility with capacity for more than 600 vehicles, and modern safety features.

The LAGIS building is a five-floor facility developed to support services related to geospatial mapping, urban planning and land administration. The project is part of the administration’s effort to create a one-stop centre for land-related services across the state.
Governor Sanwo-Olu described both projects as significant developments for Lagos State’s public service system. He expressed satisfaction with the level of progress recorded, particularly on the Multi-Agency Complex which is nearing completion.
The Governor noted that only minor finishing work remains on the ground floor and surrounding setback areas of the complex. He added that contractors are expected to complete final clean-up and preparation within the next two weeks.
Sanwo-Olu also highlighted the importance of the LAGIS building in strengthening land administration systems in the state. He said the facility would enhance the delivery of spatial and geographic information services needed for effective planning.

He explained that construction work on the LAGIS project is progressing steadily and is expected to reach completion soon. The Governor urged contractors to accelerate final stages of the project within the next few weeks.
The Lagos State Governor further revealed that both buildings may be formally commissioned during an upcoming visit by Nigeria’s President, Bola Ahmed Tinubu. The commissioning is expected to be part of activities during the presidential visit to Lagos.
Sanwo-Olu described the planned inauguration as symbolic, reflecting the significance of the projects to the state’s governance and service delivery structure.
The Governor emphasised that providing modern workspaces for public servants remains a priority for the administration. He noted that improved work environments would help civil servants deliver services more efficiently to residents.

He added that the new facilities would also contribute to faster service turnaround time and better coordination across government agencies.
Sanwo-Olu reaffirmed the government’s commitment to infrastructure projects that strengthen administrative efficiency and enhance the experience of citizens seeking public services across Lagos State.
