The Lagos Waste Management Authority (LAWMA) has strengthened its partnership with Mushin Local Government and Odiolowo/Ojuwoye Local Council Development Area (LCDA) to improve environmental sanitation and waste management across their communities.
Eko Hot News reports that the strategic meeting brought together officials of LAWMA, Mushin Local Government and Odiolowo/Ojuwoye LCDA to develop practical measures aimed at creating a cleaner, healthier and more sustainable environment for residents.
The meeting was led by the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of LAWMA, Dr. Muyiwa Gbadegesin, who was represented by the Director of Public Affairs, Mr. Mukaila Sanusi.
Representing Odiolowo/Ojuwoye LCDA was the Vice Chairman, Hon. Niyi Awodogan, while Mushin Local Government was represented by the Supervisory Councillor for Environment, Hon. Mudashiru Dare Muritala.
The engagement focused on strengthening collaboration between the state waste management authority and the two local councils to improve sanitation standards within their respective jurisdictions.
Participants discussed practical strategies that would enhance environmental cleanliness while ensuring that waste management services remain efficient and sustainable.
