The Commissioner for Environment and Water Resources, Tokunbo Wahab, warned that the bank would face sanctions under existing environmental regulations. He emphasized that Lagos State is committed to maintaining cleanliness and protecting residents from pollution.

The closure aligns with the state government’s broader sanitation drive targeting commercial districts and institutions that flout environmental laws. Residents and businesses are urged to adhere strictly to these regulations to prevent similar enforcement actions.
