Lagos First Lady Hosts 600 Boys at Secretariat

The First Lady of Lagos State, Claudiana Ibijoke Sanwo-Olu, has led 600 schoolboys on an educational visit to the Lagos State Secretariat, Alausa, as part of the grand finale of the 2026 Lagos Boy Child Initiative (LBCI).

Eko Hot News reports that the governance exposure visit formed a major highlight of the four-day residential programme designed to deepen participants’ understanding of public administration.

The visit provided the boys with firsthand insight into the structure and operations of governance in Lagos State.

The delegation was received by the Head of Service, Olabode Agoro, alongside the Commissioner for Youth and Social Development, Mobolaji Ogunlende, and the Body of Permanent Secretaries.

Presenting the participants, the First Lady reaffirmed her commitment to raising well-rounded boys through mentorship and value reorientation.

She said deliberate exposure to leadership institutions is vital to shaping future leaders.

According to her, the engagement was designed to help the boys understand governance processes and policy implementation.

She noted that public institutions play a critical role in driving sustainable development.

Addressing the participants at the Adeyemi-Bero Auditorium, Agoro explained the workings of the Lagos State Public Service.

He charged them to serve as ambassadors of the initiative and apply lessons learned.
