The Lagos State Government has strengthened its emergency response capacity with the commissioning of a new fire station as part of ongoing infrastructure projects across the state.

Eko Hot News reports that the projects were unveiled during a two-day commissioning exercise held  under the administration of Governor Babajide Olushola Sanwo-Olu.

The projects were commissioned on behalf of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu by Senate President Godswill Akpabio, marking another phase of development initiatives across Lagos State.

Among the key projects delivered is the Tolu School Complex in Olodi Apapa, Ajegunle, which features 36 schools, a modern fire station, and a stadium with 19 mini football pitches.

The inclusion of a fire station within the complex reflects the government’s commitment to integrating safety infrastructure into community development projects.

Another major project commissioned is a multi-agency complex named after President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to enhance coordination among public service institutions.

Officials said the facility will improve inter-agency collaboration and boost operational efficiency across government departments.

Speaking at the event, Controller General of the Lagos State Fire and Rescue Service, Adeseye Margaret Abimbola, commended the state government for its investment in safety infrastructure.
