The Inspector-General of Police, Olatunji Rilwan Disu, has reaffirmed the commitment of the Nigeria Police Force to ensuring peaceful and secure elections across the country.

Eko Hot News reports that the IGP made the assurance while hosting the Chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission, Joash Amupitan, and his delegation at the Force Headquarters in Abuja.

The meeting focused on preparations for upcoming elections, including the Ekiti and Osun off-cycle polls, bye-elections, and the 2027 General Elections.

Also present at the meeting were members of the Police Force Management Team and national commissioners from different geopolitical regions.
