The Lagos State Resilience Office has deepened efforts to improve preparedness across critical sectors through a strategic engagement with the Lagos State Ministry of Health.

The LASRO delegation was led by the Chief Resilience Officer, Folayinka Dania, represented by Mr. Olayinka Oyekan, Business Continuity Plan Operations Lead. Senior officials of the Ministry of Health participated in the high-level discussions.
Deliberations focused on findings from the recently conducted Business Impact Analysis (BIA).
The report highlighted the importance of safeguarding essential health functions such as emergency medical coordination, disease surveillance, outbreak response, and pharmaceutical services.

Participants also identified laboratory operations and digital health systems as key components requiring strong continuity frameworks.
These services were described as vital to maintaining effective healthcare delivery during unexpected disruptions.
The meeting emphasized the role of collaboration among stakeholders in strengthening system resilience.

National and state agencies, including the Lagos State Emergency Management Agency and the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, were also recognised as key contributors to emergency preparedness and response coordination.
