Randle General Hospital has received the Hospital Transformation Support Initiative (HTSI) Team from the Lagos State Health Service Commission for an assessment and verification visit across the hospital and its affiliated facilities.
Eko Hot News reports that the team was led by the Permanent Secretary of the commission, Dr. Cecilia Abimbola Mabogunje, who commended the hospital management and staff for the visible progress recorded in recent years.
During the visit, the Permanent Secretary described the institution as a “three-in-one hospital,” noting that it comprises Randle General Hospital, the Maternal and Child Centre Gbaja, and the Femi Gbajabiamila General Hospital.
She explained that the structure allows the hospital to provide a broader range of medical services to residents, particularly in maternal care, child health services, and general medical treatment.

The HTSI team visited the facilities as part of a routine exercise aimed at assessing operational standards, verifying improvements, and strengthening service delivery across public health institutions in Lagos State.
The Medical Director and Chief Executive Officer of the hospital, Dr. Olumide Sojinrin, personally led the visiting team on a guided tour of the three facilities during the assessment exercise.
He showcased several areas within the hospitals, highlighting recent developments, improved medical services, and the hospital’s commitment to delivering quality healthcare to patients.

Dr. Sojinrin expressed appreciation to the HTSI team for their continuous support and professional guidance, noting that the commission’s monitoring initiatives play a key role in maintaining high standards across public hospitals.
He also commended members of staff for their dedication and commitment to the hospital’s ongoing transformation agenda.
According to him, the staff have remained focused on improving patient experience, strengthening healthcare services, and maintaining efficient operations within the hospital system.

The Medical Director added that teamwork and collaboration among departments have helped the institution continue to expand its healthcare capacity.
He further noted that the hospital management remains committed to supporting the healthcare priorities of the Lagos State Government by ensuring residents have access to quality and reliable medical services.
Members of the HTSI team also interacted with hospital staff during the visit, discussing best practices and areas that could further improve patient care.
The assessment exercise formed part of the Lagos State Health Service Commission’s broader effort to monitor performance and encourage service excellence in state-owned hospitals.
