The Lagos State House of Assembly House Committee on Physical Planning, Urban Development and e-GIS has conducted a statutory oversight visit to properties managed by the Lagos State Urban Renewal Agency (LASURA) on Lagos Island.

Eko Hot News reports that the oversight exercise was led by Hon. Ogunkelu Oluwadahunsi and Hon. Abdulkareem Jubril, who carried out a detailed on-site inspection of selected LASURA-managed assets to assess compliance and structural conditions.

The lawmakers evaluated how the properties align with the state’s urban renewal objectives. The visit forms part of the Assembly’s constitutional duty to ensure that government agencies operate efficiently and transparently.

Officials examined documentation and site conditions during the inspection. The review focused on planning compliance and adherence to established urban development policies.

Also present at the oversight visit was the Special Assistant to the Governor on e-GIS, Olajide Abiodun Babatunde. He highlighted the importance of leveraging digital mapping systems to improve planning accuracy and asset management.
