The Lateef Jakande Leadership Academy (LJLA) has reinforced its commitment to building resilient and reflective leaders with the 2026 Organisational Excellence Retreat held at Epe Resort and Spa.

Eko Hot News reports that the retreat provided a platform for Fellows to reflect on performance, culture, institutional values, and strategic alignment, while strengthening leadership capacity and organisational excellence.

As part of its continuous leadership development drive, the Academy also hosted another edition of its Brown Bag Series in Ikeja GRA, featuring the Executive Secretary, Mrs Ayisat Agbaje-Okunade, in an engaging and thought-provoking session with Fellows.

Drawing from her leadership journey, Mrs Agbaje-Okunade spoke on navigating uncertainty, building resilience, and sustaining personal growth, urging Fellows to embrace challenges as opportunities for clarity and reinvention.

She emphasised the importance of preparation and patience, encouraging participants to maximise their “waiting seasons” and remain focused, disciplined, and ready to act when opportunities arise.

The Executive Secretary also challenged the notion that leadership is defined solely by success, noting that true leadership is tested through adversity, growth, and the ability to learn from difficult moments.

The interactive session fostered open dialogue and introspection, as Fellows shared perspectives on purpose-driven leadership and the role of resilience in shaping effective leadership philosophies.

Many participants described the engagement as transformative, highlighting its relevance to both their professional responsibilities and personal development.
