The Honourable Commissioner for Women Affairs and Poverty Alleviation, Hon. Bolaji Cecilia Dada, has held a strategic meeting with staff of the ministry to formally set the tone for a productive and successful 2026 work year.
Eko Hot News reports that the meeting took place at the Ministry’s Conference Room and began with an opening prayer, during which staff sought divine guidance, protection, and blessings for the new year.
In her address, Hon. Dada expressed gratitude to God for sustaining the ministry throughout 2025, noting with thanksgiving that no loss of life was recorded among staff during the year.
She explained that commencing the year with prayers remains a long-standing tradition of the ministry, anchored on the belief that God remains the foundation of its operations and success.
The Commissioner prayed for peace, protection, perseverance, and continued growth of the ministry as it steps into 2026.
Hon. Dada urged staff to foster kindness, unity, and forgiveness in the workplace, advising them to let go of grudges and strengthen collaboration across all levels.
She encouraged staff to review their 2025 achievements and programmes, identify gaps, and set clear goals for improved performance in the new year.
The Commissioner charged officers to renew their commitment to duty, think creatively, explore innovative service delivery approaches, and prioritize staff development and mutual support.
Also speaking, the Permanent Secretary, Mrs. Rianat Ajibike Onigbanjo, thanked God for guiding the ministry through the past year and prayed for peace at all levels of governance.
She encouraged staff to embrace the spirit of “Dig Like the Aardvark,” urging them to approach their duties with focus, diligence, and urgency.
Mrs. Onigbanjo stressed that success in 2026 would require discipline, action, and collective commitment to responsibilities and goals.
The meeting concluded with a renewed sense of purpose, as staff resolved to pursue shared goals and enhance the ministry’s impact in 2026.
