The 17th edition of the Best of Nollywood Awards (BON Awards) 2025, held at the Wole Soyinka Centre for Culture and Creative Arts, Iganmu, Surulere, Lagos, spotlighted excellence across Nigeria’s film industry.
Eko Hot News reports that the prestigious ceremony attracted top government officials, industry leaders, and entertainment stakeholders from across the country.

The Lagos State Commissioner for Tourism, Arts and Culture, Mrs Toke Benson-Awoyinka, attended the event alongside the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry, Mrs Bopo Oyekan-Ismaila, reaffirming the state’s support for the creative sector.

The awards night celebrated storytelling, innovation, and artistic brilliance, recognising practitioners whose work continues to drive the growth of Nollywood.
Several competitive categories were featured, including Best Actor, Best Actress, Best Director, Best Costume Design, and Best Child Actor and Actress.
Award recipients were commended for professionalism, creativity, and contributions that have elevated Nollywood’s presence locally and internationally.
The BON Awards remain a major platform for honouring talent and promoting Nigeria’s creative economy.
