The Lagos State College of Health Technology (LASCOHET) has inducted 768 newly admitted students at its 26th matriculation ceremony, marking their formal entry into various academic programmes across the institution.
Eko Hot News reports that the Provost, Professor Raheem Olasupo Akewushola, congratulated the students on securing admission into Nigeria’s first College of Health Technology, describing the feat as significant due to the highly competitive entrance process.

Professor Akewushola urged the students to approach their studies with determination and discipline, stressing that the healthcare profession demands diligence, caution and a strong sense of responsibility in handling human lives.
He warned that the college operates a zero-tolerance policy on examination malpractice, adding that any student found guilty would face strict disciplinary measures.

Delivering a goodwill message on behalf of the Commissioner for Tertiary Education, the Permanent Secretary, Mr Adeniran Kasali, charged the students to uphold LASCOHET’s reputation as one of Nigeria’s leading health institutions.

Mr Kasali encouraged the matriculants to maximise the opportunities available in Lagos State and adhere strictly to institutional rules as they prepare to become competent healthcare professionals.
