Lagos State Commissioner for Tourism, Arts and Culture, Mrs Toke Benson-Awoyinka, joined other notable guests at the Abatabutu Exhibition.
Eko Hot News reports that the two-day exhibition, initiated by Mrs Simi Adesanya, showcased the deep vintage heritage of Yoruba Aso-Ofi, widely known today as Aso-Oke.

The event, which was held from Monday, 8th to Tuesday, 9th December 2025 at 4 Harbour Point Road, Victoria Island, Lagos. The event featured a curated display of the traditional woven fabric in both its historical and contemporary forms.

The exhibition highlighted the craftsmanship and cultural value of Aso-Oke, celebrating its more than 150-year legacy in Yoruba culture, as well as its continued relevance in fashion and cultural preservation.
