President Donald Trump has targeted Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene, accusing her of making complaints and spreading false claims amid the ongoing controversy over the Epstein files.
Ekohotnews reports that Greene shared screenshots of text messages she sent, saying they triggered Trump’s anger and accusing him of attempting to intimidate other Republicans ahead of next week’s vote to release the files. Despite her previous support for Trump, Greene emphasised she serves her constituents and her faith above any former president. “I have supported President Trump with too much of my precious time, too much of my own money, and fought harder for him even when almost all other Republicans turned their back,” Greene wrote. “But I don’t worship or serve Donald Trump. I worship God, Jesus is my saviour, and I serve my district GA14 and the American people.”
Ekohotnews reports that Trump responded on social media, touting his administration’s accomplishments and mocking Greene: “having created the ‘HOTTEST’ Country anywhere in the World from being a DEAD Country just 12 months ago (and so much more!), all I see ‘Wacky’ Marjorie do is COMPLAIN, COMPLAIN, COMPLAIN!”
Political analysts say Donald Trump’s public attack could create openings for Georgia Republicans to challenge Greene in her strongly Republican district in the next election.
