Lagos shone at the African Marketplace Dubai 2025, showcasing its rich culture and creative talent on the global stage from 12th to 15th November 2025.
Eko Hot News reports that the Lagos State Government, through the Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture, led a strong delegation to the event. The Permanent Secretary, Mrs Adebopo Oyekan-Ismaila, represented the Commissioner, Mrs Toke Benson-Awoyinka, demonstrating Lagos’ commitment to promoting its cultural heritage on the global stage.

Over 150 participants from Lagos attended, including members of the Nigeria Association of Tour Operators (NATOP), Lagos Chapter, alongside entrepreneurs and key stakeholders. Their presence reinforced Lagos’ leadership in Africa’s creative and business sectors.
The African Marketplace, organised by the Ibukun Awosika Leadership Academy (IALA), provided Lagos with a platform to connect with international buyers, distributors, and investors. Lagos’ vibrant showcase solidified the city’s position as a leading cultural and economic hub, driving Africa’s creative economy forward.
