The Ounje Eko Farmers’ Subsidy Programme has entered its second phase as the Lagos State Government intensifies efforts to enhance food security and stabilise food prices across the state.

Eko Hot News reports that the Honourable Commissioner for Agriculture and Food Systems, Ms Abisola Olusanya, unveiled the expanded programme, which offers a 25% subsidy on poultry and fish feed, alongside the distribution of fertilisers and essential farming equipment to support local farmers.

The initiative also includes discounted food items available at the Lagos Fresh Food Hub, designed to relieve residents of rising food costs and ensure consistent access to fresh, affordable produce.

The Ounje Eko Programme remains central to Lagos State’s strategy to boost agricultural productivity, empower agripreneurs, and strengthen the state’s food supply chain for millions of households.
