The Lagos State Government has announced the commencement of the 2026 Capacity Building Workshop for officers in the Unified Local Government Service as part of efforts to strengthen public service delivery across the state.
Eko Hot News reports that the Permanent Secretary, Lagos State Office of Local Government Establishments and Training, Ms. Toyin Ogunlana, disclosed that the training programme will run from Monday, August 3, to Tuesday, September 15, 2026.
The workshop will take place at the Training School of the Office of Local Government Establishments and Training.
According to the Permanent Secretary, the programme is designed specifically for officers in the senior and management cadres of the Unified Local Government Service.
She explained that the initiative reflects the Lagos State Government’s continued investment in human capital development within the public service.
Ms. Ogunlana noted that equipping public officers with modern knowledge and practical skills remains essential to achieving efficient and responsive governance.
She said the training curriculum has been carefully developed to improve participants’ professional competence and strengthen their ability to meet the evolving demands of public administration.
