Springfield Private School and Bosede Idehen International Academy have honoured their graduating Senior Secondary School Three (SS3) students with a glamorous Prom Night as part of activities marking the school’s 2026 end-of-session and valedictory celebrations.

Eko Hot News reports that the colourful event, which commenced at about 5:00 p.m., brought together graduating students, teachers, school administrators, parents and invited guests in a joyful atmosphere to celebrate the achievements of the Class of 2026 after months of intensive academic activities and final examinations.

The prom was organised to appreciate the graduating students for their dedication, resilience and commitment throughout the academic session while providing them with an opportunity to celebrate their accomplishments before embarking on the next phase of their educational journey.

One of the major highlights of the evening was the crowning of the Prom King and Prom Queen, a colourful ceremony that added glamour and excitement to the event. The students also enjoyed music, dancing, games and other entertaining activities, creating memorable moments with their classmates and teachers.

Delivering his welcome address, the Principal of the school, Mr. Oluwole, congratulated the graduating students for successfully completing an important stage of their education. He encouraged them to remain focused, disciplined and committed to excellence as they prepare for higher education and future careers.

Several members of staff also addressed the students, offering words of encouragement and reminding them that graduating from secondary school marks the beginning of greater opportunities rather than the end of their learning journey.

The event was moderated by the Head Teacher of Springfield Private School, Mr. Ayeni, who ensured the programme was conducted seamlessly from start to finish.

Speaking with journalists after the event, the Proprietress and Director of Springfield Private School and Bosede Idehen International Academy, Mrs. Maureen Idehen Ovabor, said the graduating students deserved to be celebrated after months of dedication to their academic pursuits.

“The students have paid their dues through hard work and dedication. I am optimistic they will come out in flying colours. I believe nothing should stop them from celebrating this important milestone because it is only the beginning of greater achievements ahead,” she said.
