Egunjobi’s Road Projects Boost Case for House of Reps Bid

Former Chairman of Agege Local Government, Hon. Kola Egunjobi, is gaining attention as a leading contender for the House of Representatives. His record of road construction and rehabilitation projects continues to strengthen calls for his representation of Agege Federal Constituency.

Eko Hot News reports that Egunjobi’s tenure in Agege, Lagos State, was marked by significant infrastructure development. His administration focused on improving road networks to boost connectivity and support economic activities across the community.

During his time in office, he initiated and completed numerous road projects. These included new constructions, rehabilitation works, and interlocking stone paving designed to address infrastructure gaps.

Key projects delivered under his leadership include Awori/Adesokan Street and Union Road in Dopemu. Alagbigba Street and Taiwo Street were also constructed, both equipped with streetlights to enhance safety and usability.

Additional roads completed include Oniwaya Market Road, Sanni Omomeji Street, Abudu Oladejo Street, Shodipo Street, Ishola Yusuf Street, and Ogunjobi Street. These projects improved access within commercial and residential areas.

Egunjobi’s administration also undertook the rehabilitation of Ashade Ogba Road. This effort helped restore functionality to a major route serving several communities.

Development extended to other streets such as Majaro Street, Oshungboye Keke Road, Humani Street, and Onibeju Street. Imam Ojoku Street, Alowonle Street, and Ajibose Street also benefitted from infrastructure upgrades.

Further projects included Elicana Phase 1, Ajakaiye Street, Arigidi/Sonaya Street, and Adegbola Street. Others are Adeniyi Street, Onilude Street, Okanlawon Street, Old Union Street, Onafuwa Street, and Abolore Phase 1.

The administration also delivered works on Anuoluwapo Street, Ashafa Street, Oredapo Street, Mayaka Street, and Sarumi Alawo Street. Akerele Street, Ashiata Street, Abeje Street, Ashaolu Street, and Kosoko Street were equally completed.

Notably, Adebari Street was constructed and interlocked to improve durability. Olowo Street received a comprehensive upgrade, including construction, streetlights, and a security house to enhance safety.

Residents and stakeholders have continued to acknowledge the impact of these projects. Many noted improved accessibility and increased economic activities across several neighbourhoods.

A community leader stated that previously difficult routes are now easily accessible. This has supported local businesses and improved daily movement within the area.
